kidsunlimited provides the very highest standards of care and education for pre-school children and is the fifth largest childcare provider in the UK. kidsunlimited was established in 1983 by husband and wife team Jean and Stewart Pickering on the ground floor of their Victorian semi-detached house in Wilmslow after they were unable to find childcare to match their exacting standards. It now has over 27 years of experience in operating children’s nurseries. kidsunlimited provides quality childcare via well located and maintained nurseries and in addition offers childcare voucher services to employers.
kidsunlimited offers over 5,000 child places across 57 nurseries in the UK and operates two types of nurseries:
- Workplace nurseries for blue-chip customers
These nurseries are located close to large commercial/Government sites and provide high quality childcare and education conveniently close for employees. kidsunlimited’s first workplace nursery opened in 1987. Workplace customers operate in multiple sectors and include HSBC, Toyota, University of Oxford, eight NHS Trusts, Manchester Airport, WH Smith and the Body Shop. Many of these blue-chip customers have entrusted kidsunlimited with their nursery provision for more than 15 years.
- Independent nurseries open to the local community
These nurseries are located in urban areas where the population of pre-school children is high. The majority of kidsunlimited nurseries are located in high net-worth areas where demand is high for premium childcare such as Cheshire / South Manchester, Oxford, Cambridge, London and the Home Counties.
Childcare voucher services
kidsunlimited supports employers in providing childcare vouchers to their employees. Childcare vouchers reduce the cost of childcare for parents and reduce national insurance costs for employers. Each month, kidsunlimited facilitates the flow of cash from circa 750 employers to 16,000 childcare providers for 14,000 parents. Childcare voucher customers include Pfizer, HSBC, Next and Oxford University.
